Perhaps you could:
Inform your congregation of the 1700th anniversary
Recite the Nicene Creed together to affirm your faith as one or have it read to the people
Pray to thank God for His faithfulness to His people in every generation (Psalm 100 v 5, Psalm 119 v 90, Psalm 145 v 13)
Pray to thank God for faithful Christians in the past, including those at Nicaea, and ask for His Spirit and help for Christians now to be faithful in our own day
Pray for all Christians, giving special consideration to Jesus’ prayer for all His people in the Upper Room (John 17 v 20 - 24)
Read a short account of the Council of Nicaea in 325AD (use the one below or write your own)

Reflect on some statements from the Nicene Creed in the sermon/homily
